Car accident requires extrication | CTV Saskatoon News  

The Saskatoon Fire Department says two individuals were taken to the hospital as a result of a collision at the intersection of Avenue C and Circle Drive on Sunday afternoon.  Two Engines and one Rescue Unit found the car and the truck badly damaged.  The truck driver is safe. Charges laid after police execute high-risk warrant in Regina’s Cathedral area  

A Regina man is facing charges after police executed a high-risk search warrant at a home in the city’s Cathedral neighbourhood Thursday. Stuart Michael George Sabiston, 30, made his first court appearance on charges of possessing ammunition while prohibited and breach of probation Friday morning. On Thursday, police executed a high-risk search warrant at a house in the 2000 block of Princess Street, as part of an ongoing investigation. Lafarge Canada seeks approval for plan to burn tires as energy at N.S. plant  

HALIFAX — Lafarge Canada is seeking industrial approval to burn tires as fuel at a Nova Scotia cement plant. The company filed for the approval today from the Environment Department to burn tires as a low carbon fuel at its Brookfield plant in Colchester County. The department says it is reviewing the application and has 60 days to make a decision on the one-year pilot project. Arrest made in Grey County sexual assault case  

An arrest has been made in a sexual assault case in Grey County. O-P-P say 49-year-old Darryl North of Guelph was arrested on Friday and charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl. The assault is alleged to have occurred in Grey Highlands on October 25th. North is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on November 30th. READING, Pa. – Police say they captured a big African cat, resembling a cheetah, running loose through the streets of a small Pennsylvania town.
