Woman dead after stabbing in Thorncliffe Park, one in custody

A woman in her 60s was pronounced dead on scene after a stabbing at an apartment building in the city’s Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood Early Friday morning. It happened at a building on Thorncliffe Park Drive near Overlea Boulevard and Don Mills Road at around 12:55 a.m. Police say that one person was arrested on scene and will face charges in connection with the homicide. Kitchener man airlifted to hospital after crashing motorcycle

A motorcyclist was seriously hurt Friday in a single-vehicle collision near Waterford. Norfolk County OPP say the crash occurred at 2:22 p.m. at the intersection of Cockshutt Road and Concession 11 Townsend. It ended with the motorcyclist, a 39-year-old Kitchener man, being ejected from his motorcycle, which ended up in a ditch off the roadway. An air ambulance was called in to take him to hospital.
