Harry Potter fans can get closer than ever to Hagrid this summer.
A new roller coaster is coming to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and now Universal Orlando is giving fans a first look.
In a video posted to the theme park’s YouTube channel, we see an animatronic Hagrid come to life as part of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
“A giant in the story and your guide on an epic new adventure,” reads text that appears on the video. “Join Hagrid and enter the Forbidden Forest.”
The animatronic of the beloved character shows him in his typical gameskeeper garb, his motorbike goggles and head of bushy hair. He’s also holding his magic umbrella, which appears to light up as he moves it.
Feedback on the ride and Hagrid’s look has been mostly positive.
“Yes! I can’t wait to ride! Hagrid looks great!!” one person commented.
“Best Hagrid animatronic,” another said.
Some are more critical, however.
“He looks a bit slow, but they do promise that he will be the most advance figure in the Orlando Parks, witch (sic) is very very high standards so, I hope he only looks slow an unrealistic in this trailer,” one person wrote.
The new ride opens June 13.
