'Fortnite' adds NFL outfits and new game mode before Super Bowl

“Fortnite” is teaming up again with the NFL in advance of the Super Bowl.

Players will be able to get outfits for all NFL teams in the game’s Battle Royale item shop on Friday, starting at 7 p.m. ET. Publisher Epic Games first made NFL outfits available back in November.

To honor the Super Bowl combatants, players can also get new white uniforms for the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams. Players wearing Pats and Rams outfits can also compete in a limited-time NFL Rumble game mode teaming players with 20 players in Patriots or Rams uniforms.

Also, on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, players can find a free pigskin toy in the item shop.

NFL team outfits can be purchased like other skins from the Battle Royale Item Shop using in-game currency called V-Bucks, which can be earned in the game or purchased with real-world cash. Skins typically cost 1,200-1,500 V-Bucks, or $12 to $15.

The new NFL outfits will be priced comparable with other skins.
