The Indiana Pacers are set to make NBA history.
The Pacers announced Monday they have hired Kelly Krauskopf as the first female assistant general manager in league history.
Krauskopf had been the president and general manager of the Indiana Fever for 17 years before relinquishing her role as GM to coach Pokey Chatman in November of 2017.
She moved to a position focused on building the Pacers eSports franchise Pacers Gaming.
Krauskopf will now work with members of the Pacers basketball operation staff, including President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard, GM Chad Buchanan and assistant GM Peter Dinwiddie per Wojnarowski.
ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the hiring.
