Musician Halsey is clapping back at her critics.

The “Bad at Love” singer defended her performance on Tuesday’s finale of “The Voice.” Actress and dancer Jade Chynoweth joined Halsey when she belted out “Without Me,” shortly before Chevel Shepherd was revealed to be the Season 15 victor.

Clad in cropped tops and high-waisted, short bottoms, Halsey and Chynoweth’s sensual performance included choreographed embraces as well as tussles.

“Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight,” tweeted Halsey, 24. “And also very proud to have pissed off (the) homophobic viewers at home who missed the message.”

“Represention matters,” added Halsey, who identifies as bisexual. “Thanks @NBCTheVoice for giving a space for this vision to come to life. and thank you @JadeChynoweth for being an incredible human who used her body like the ultimate instrument for this collaboration.”

Twitter users responded to Halsey’s remarks with mixed feelings.

“This had nothing to do with homophobia. I am homosexual and I was sickened by the demonstration of domestic violence and vulgarity,” one user wrote. “Not appropriate for a show featuring and watched by teens.”

“There’s a time and place for everything,” remarked another. “Wrong forum”

“Not homophobic, but I believe erotic performances don’t belong on prime time television,” a user stated. “Hetero or Homosexual”
